John Shmuel

John Shmuel has extensive work experience in content strategy, journalism, and reporting. John is currently the Director of Content Strategy and PR at RATESDOTCA Group Ltd. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Content Strategy at LowestRates.ca, where they managed a large team and achieved significant growth in blog traffic and revenue from organic traffic. John also worked as a Managing Editor at LowestRates.ca, overseeing a team of writers and editors. In addition, John has experience as a reporter covering China's tech industry for the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and as an Economics and Investing Reporter for National Post, Inc., where they received awards and nominations for their work. John has also worked as a reporter for Foreign Press Center Japan and as a Business Reporter for Brunswick News Inc.

John Shmuel holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Ryerson University. Additionally, they have a certification in the Canadian Securities Course from the Canadian Securities Institute.
