Brian Sayler

Brian Sayler is a communications director and strategist with experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Brian most recently served as the Communications Director for the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management. In this role, they oversaw all aspects of the agency's communications, including media relations, crisis communications, and digital strategy.

Prior to their work in New Mexico, Brian served as the Communications Advisor to Legislative District 11 for the Pima County Democratic Party in Arizona. In this role, they worked with elected officials and candidates on their communications strategy and helped develop and implement a successful communications plan for the 2020 election cycle.

Before moving to the southwest, Brian was an Advisor to Commerce Commissioner Michelle Willard at the North Dakota Department of Commerce. In this role, they helped develop and implement the state's economic development strategy, which focused on workforce development, removing barriers to employment, and making strategic investments in social services.

Brian began their career as a Senior Analyst at IBISWorld, a market research firm. Brian has also worked as a Dukakis Fellow in the North Dakota Governor's Office through Harvard Kennedy School's Institute of Politics. Brian is a graduate of Georgetown University.

Brian Sayler completed a Master in Public Policy (MPP) at Harvard Kennedy School. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and Theirtory at Tufts University. Brian also studied Economics, Political Science, and Theirtory at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Brian Sayler reports to Patrick Dorton, CEO & Managing Director. Brian Sayler works with Nat Wood - Managing Director, Liji George - Chief Financial Officer, and Rob Van Raaphorst - Senior Vice President.
