Dawn Harris

Dawn Harris has been working in the technology industry since 1998. Dawn began their career at Roke as a Graduate Engineer and Engineer, where they worked on a variety of projects related to 3G telecommunications systems, coding in C++, C, and working on a system simulation tool. In 2001, they moved to Sony Professional Solutions Europe as a Software Support Engineer, where they were responsible for supporting a set of Windows applications (C++), centred around an Oracle database. In 2004, they joined Snell Advanced Media as a Software Applications Engineer and New Media Applications Engineer, where they were responsible for support and maintenance of an MXF toolkit and acted as a single point of contact for customers of a PCI card. In 2007, they joined AmberFin, which is now a Dalet Digital Media Systems Company, as a Senior Software Engineer, working on a Windows application (C++, Python, and Java) for ingest, playback and transcode operations. In 2010, they joined Foundry as a Software Engineer, where they were a member of a small DevOps team, supporting the development of all Foundry products and research team activities. In 2017, they became a Project Manager at Ravelin Technology.

Dawn Harris obtained a MEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering with Language (French) from the University of Birmingham between 1994 and 1998. In July 2017, they obtained a Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org.
