Carlos Villegas

Carlos Villegas has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Carlos is currently working as a System Engineer at RavenTek since 2022. Prior to this, Carlos worked at Intelligent Waves LLC from 2014 to 2022, where they served as a Site Lead/ Field Site Engineer. Their role involved developing and sustaining technical capabilities for processing, exploiting, and disseminating airborne imagery. Carlos also analyzed the needs of the AF analysis and developed technological solutions to satisfy those needs.

Before joining Intelligent Waves LLC, Carlos worked at Leidos from 2013 to 2014 as a Site Lead/ Field Site Engineer. In this role, they provided support for the operations and maintenance of computer and communication systems in support of 24/7 OCONUS and CONUS PED operations.

From 2012 to 2013, Carlos worked at Radiance Technologies as a Site Lead/ Field Site Engineer. Their responsibilities included assisting and coordinating with the Mission Partner in ensuring the Imagery Exploitation Lifecycle is accessible and maintained through various platforms.

Carlos also has experience working at General Dynamics from 2004 to 2012, where they held multiple roles. As a Technical Manager, they effectively communicated with the assigned workforce and established a strong working relationship with the program management team. Carlos also managed fourteen Field Site Representatives in the absence of the Technical Manager. Carlos worked as a Principal Engineer, where they served as the System Administrator for the Multimedia Analysis Archive System (MAAS). Carlos also worked as a Senior Systems Engineer, managing networks and providing support in a 24-hour ops cell.

Carlos started their career in the US Army, where they served as a COMSEC Specialist from 2003 to 2004. Carlos was called back from Inactive Ready Reserve status for Operation Enduring Freedom and deployed to MacDill AFB.

Prior to their military service, Carlos worked at Lockheed Martin from 2000 to 2003. Carlos served as a Hardware Technician II, operating and maintaining automated telecommunications equipment. Carlos also worked as a Computer Operator Sr Specialist, where they were the Technical Sr Operator of a large-scale multi-platform data center.

Carlos began their career in the US Army, where they served as a Telecommunications Operator/ Maintainer from 1996 to 2000. In this role, they operated, performed, maintained, and conducted daily inventories on cryptographic equipment and COMSEC materials. Carlos also maintained secure gateways, routers, and cryptographic equipment.

Overall, Carlos Villegas has a strong background in system engineering, technical management, and support in various industries, including defense and technology.

Carlos Villegas has studied Information Technology Management at Trident University International. Additionally, they obtained a certification in NetApp Certified Data Administrator, ONTAP from NetApp in March 2022.
