Matthew Rea

Matthew Rea, CPA, MBA, is a Certified Public Accountant and the owner of MW REA, CPA, LLC, established in December 2023, serving clients locally in Decatur, Alabama, and nationwide. With over a dozen years of experience in the banking industry, Matthew assists clients in making informed financial decisions and ensuring their accounting needs are met. Currently, Matthew also works part-time as the corporate controller for Ravyn Technology Corporation, helping the company with tax and compliance filings. Previous experience includes roles as a certified public accountant at D Wates and Associates and staff accountant at Wear Howell, along with managerial positions at PNC and Regions Bank. Matthew holds an MBA in Finance from Auburn University, a BS in Accounting from Athens State University, and a BA in Spanish and Communications from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
