👩💻 Milena Araujo

Milena Araujo has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. 👩‍💻 Milena started their career as a Software Developer Internship at SAD - Chesf, where they worked on developing a Decision Support System. 👩‍💻 Milena then worked as a Software Engineer Internship at Amadeus, where they built a web application for easy access to open data related to travel and leisure.

After that, Milena worked as a Developer, team manager, and contributor at Revista No Divã, where they managed the installation and management of a WordPress blogging platform and coordinated a team of contributors. 👩‍💻 Milena then worked as a Full-stack Web Developer at Inteligis/LSI, responsible for the full-stack development of a web application for managing EMEPA's data.

Milena also worked as a Researcher at Distributed Systems Laboratory, where they conducted research on the behavior of men and women on StackExchange sites. 👩‍💻 Milena then worked as a Senior Web Developer at SPLab, leading a team and improving the delivery rate using Scrum techniques.

Milena's next role was at Spotify, where they had multiple positions. 👩‍💻 Milena first worked as an Engineer II, responsible for various web projects, including the Spotify Web Player and Spotify Desktop Client. 👩‍💻 Milena then had a short apprenticeship as a Developer Advocate, focusing on improving the developer experience for Spotify Play Button users. Finally, they worked as a Web Developer within the web player and open pages.

Currently, Milena is working as a Community Engineer at Raycast.

Milena Araujo received their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, graduating in 2012. In 2010-2011, they also had the opportunity to study at INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon as part of an exchange program, focusing on Computer Science and Software Engineering. Milena went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Computer Science at Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, completing their studies in 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Milena obtained several certifications to expand their knowledge and skills. In 2014, they completed a course on Computer Networks through Coursera. 👩‍💻 Milena also obtained certifications in MongoDB for Node.js Developers from MongoDB and Functional HTML5 from Code School that same year. Prior to these, Milena had acquired certifications in Computing for Data Analysis and Model Thinking through Coursera in 2013 and 2012, respectively.
