Prakash Rao

Prakash Rao is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Technology at Raymond James since August 2011, Prakash leads a technology team that supports various Capital Markets functions, overseeing a diverse technology stack that includes Java. Previously, Prakash built a shared services team in Business Rules Management (BRMS) technology and played a pivotal role in adopting IBM's Operational Decision Management (ODM) rules engine. Prior to Raymond James, Prakash held significant positions at IBM Global Business Services, focusing on architecture and strategy in the banking sector, and at Omgeo LLC., as a Technical Project Lead. Early career experience includes software engineering at OneWave Inc. Prakash holds an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Clark University.
