Ernest Beland

Ernest Beland is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the mining and materials industry. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at Rayonier Advanced Materials since October 2020, Beland previously held the position of Shaft Project Engineer at Lundin Mining Corporation, where responsibilities included upgrading production capacity and safety for the Santa Barbara hoisting system. Prior roles include Maintenance Superintendent at Ambatovy Minerals SA, overseeing mechanical and electrical equipment during construction and maintenance phases, and Maintenance Engineering Manager at Barrick Gold Corporation, managing a large team involved in the maintenance of various plant equipment. Ernest Beland holds an Engineer’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from both Western University and Laurentian University.
