Derek Rocca is an accomplished Technical Director and Chief Engineer at Raytheon Technologies, with a career spanning over two decades. Since joining the company in December 2000, Derek has led the development of advanced integrated systems for land warfare and air defense, spearheaded multi-disciplinary teams for innovative projects like the GhostEye®MR battlefield radar system, and directed a large mechanical engineering staff to drive technological advancements. Notable achievements include leading the development of the LTAMDS IRAD radar architecture, which earned the Raytheon 2018 Excellence in Engineering Technology Award, and significant contributions to the Navy Zumwalt Destroyer Program. Prior experience includes roles at the Center for Astrophysics, Rockwell Automation, and Fosta-Tek Optics, complemented by a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University and the University of Massachusetts Lowell, respectively.
