Lea Nyiranshuti, Ph.D.

Lea Nyiranshuti, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research and academia. Lea is currently working as a Scientist II in the Radiochemistry department at RayzeBio since September 2021. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Scholar at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA from March 2019 to September 2021.

Lea also gained research experience as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, working under the supervision of Principal Investigator Carolyn J. Anderson, Ph.D., from February 2017 to March 2019.

Lea began their research career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of New Hampshire. Here, they worked on various projects and served as a Teaching and Research Assistant, teaching and supervising chemistry laboratories, grading lab reports, and providing academic support to students. Their time at the University of New Hampshire lasted from 2012 to 2017.

In 2012, Lea had the opportunity to intern at Pfizer, where they executed new investigative biomarker assays for portfolio support as part of the Biomarker Group in the Global Research & Development division.

Prior to these roles, Lea gained experience as a Chemistry Instructor at California Baptist University, where they prepared and taught general chemistry laboratories, graded reports, and held office hours for students. Lea also worked as a Laboratory Assistant at California Baptist University, responsible for inventory management, preparing chemicals for laboratories, and grading quizzes and exams for general chemistry courses.

Additionally, Lea completed an internship at the Pharmaceutical Laboratory of Rwanda, analyzing pharmaceuticals for purity and receiving training in quality control of drugs.
