Matthew (Matt) H. has a diverse work experience in the field of health physics and radiation safety. Matthew (Matt) began their career as an Engineering Technician at Trialon Corporation, where they conducted tests on equipment and parts for automotive, aerospace, and military clients. Matthew (Matt) then worked as a Health Physics Consultant at Stan A Huber Consultants Inc, providing health physics support to medical facilities and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Matt later joined the University of Chicago as a Team Leader, Health Physicist, and Laser Safety Officer. In this role, they provided health physics support to the university and medical center, including shipping and storage of radioactive material, waste management, surveys, and audits. Matthew (Matt) also ensured compliance with regulatory requirements and supervised research protocols involving radioactive material.

Matthew (Matt) then served as an Assistant Radiation Safety Officer at IU Health/IUPUI, where they supervised radiation safety programs across multiple hospitals, clinics, and research institutions. Matt provided technical assistance for research protocols involving radioactive material and x-ray devices, as well as extensive involvement in medical radionuclide administration.

Matt continued their career as a Radiation Safety Officer at Indiana University Health, overseeing the radiation safety program for NRC Limited Medical Use license. Matthew (Matt) reviewed radiation oncology treatments, provided calibration services, conducted training, and audited nuclear medicine and radiation oncology departments.

Matthew (Matt) then joined the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a Health Physicist and Radiation Safety Officer. Matthew (Matt) assisted with day-to-day radiation safety program operations, implemented fluoroscopy credentialing program, and developed standard operating procedures and training programs.

Matt later worked as a Radiation Safety Officer at UC Health, managing the enterprise radiation safety program across multiple healthcare facilities. Matthew (Matt) implemented a quality improvement program, initiated comprehensive audits, and ensured compliance with regulations.

Matthew (Matt) then served as the Director of Radiation Compliance and EHS at SOFIE, where they were responsible for company-wide radiation safety and environmental health and safety. Matthew (Matt) developed controls to prevent injuries and regulatory non-compliance.

Currently, Matt serves as the Director of Health Physics at RayzeBio, a position they started in 2023.

Matt H. attended Purdue University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Radiological Health Sciences. In addition to their formal education, Matt has also acquired several certifications. In February 2007, they earned an Emergency Management Professional Development Certification from FEMA. In August 2008, they became a Qualified Physicist and Inspector for Consulting through the Indiana State Department of Health. That same year, in November, Matt obtained their HAZWOPER Hazmat Technician Certification from Safety Training Services, Inc. More recently, in September 2021, they obtained a Green Belt Certification (GB) from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
