Frank Escobedo

Frank Escobedo has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Frank is currently working as the Sr. Director of Operations at Raza Development Fund since December 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Director | Texas Region at the same company from January 2021 to February 2023. In this role, they established and maintained a trusted network of stakeholders in the Latino community throughout Texas, representing the fund on loan originations and working directly with borrowers. Frank also served as a Consultant at Raza Development Fund from April 2020 to December 2020.

Before joining Raza Development Fund, Frank worked as a Publisher at AIM Media Texas, LLC from February 2014 to March 2020. Frank also has experience working at The Press Enterprise / AH Belo Corp. as the Publisher - La Prensa & General Manager - Hispanic Media from October 2008 to February 2014, and as the Associate Publisher & General Manager Affiliated Products Group from March 2007 to October 2008.

Prior to that, Frank worked as the General Manager at La Voz Publishing Company / The Arizona Republic / Gannett Newspapers from 2004 to 2006. Frank started their career at The Laredo Morning Times / Hearst Newspapers where they served as the VP & General Manager from March 1984 to December 2004.

Frank Escobedo has a diverse education history spanning multiple institutions and fields of study. In 1977, they began their undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where they pursued a degree in History and Political Science, and completed their studies in 1981. Moving forward, in 1993, they attended the Northwestern University-Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, IL, with a focus on Management. Continuing their educational journey, in 1995, they enrolled in the American Press Institute in Reston, VA, where they engaged in Executive Development studies. Lastly, from 1997 to 2004, Frank attended the Hearst Management Institute in New York, NY, where they pursued Senior Management Studies. Throughout their education, Frank Escobedo has developed a well-rounded knowledge base that encompasses various fields and industries.
