Evelyn Fabian possesses extensive experience in legal and social services, currently serving as a Senior Paralegal on the Workers' Rights Team at Centro Legal de la Raza since July 2023. Previously, Evelyn held various roles at Centro Legal de la Raza including PRAP Coordinator from November 2017 to September 2019. At Rubicon Programs Inc., from October 2013 to November 2017, Evelyn worked as a Workshop Coordinator, Re-entry Case Coordinator, and Re-entry PAPAS Career Coach, providing comprehensive career services to returning citizens. Additional experience includes serving as a Youth Counselor at Strong Tower Ministries, a Barista/Cashier at Artisan Kitchen & Cafe, a Campus Center Manager at Smith College, and a Med-Legal Clerical Assistant at Warbritton & Associates. Evelyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Psychology from Smith College and has pursued advanced studies in Contextualized Leadership Development at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.

Centro Legal de la Raza is a legal services agency protecting and advancing the rights of low-income, immigrant, Black, and Latinx communities through bilingual legal representation, education, and advocacy. For five decades Centro has protected and advanced the rights of low-income, immigrant, Black and Latinx communities. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Oakland, CA, Centro combines free legal services with know-your-rights education and youth development. Centro ensures access to justice for thousands of individuals each year. Our three legal practice areas include immigrants’ rights, tenants’ rights, and workers’ rights. The Youth Law Academy and the Diversity Legal Pipeline works to inspire the next generation of legal leaders and promote diversity in the field of law. In addition to providing free legal services, Centro also advocates for policies that further safeguard the rights of immigrants, tenants and workers.
