Sensory & Consumer Innovation Manager

Stephen Lillford is an experienced professional in sensory and consumer innovation. Currently serving as the Sensory & Consumer Innovation Manager at RB since September 2010, Stephen focuses on providing product development guidelines through consumer research. Previously, as Co Director at Design Perspectives, Faraday Knowledge from April 2006 to September 2010, Stephen established a commercial service that delivered research-based optimizations for FMCG products and packaging. Stephen began a career in research as a Research Executive at Faraday Packaging from April 2004 to April 2006, leading a project to adapt Japanese Kansei Engineering for emotion-driven product design. Earlier, in 2003, exploratory consumer research work at Unilever contributed to understanding the connections between behavior, perception, and product attributes. Stephen holds an MA in design and branding strategy from Brunel University of London and a BEng(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds.
