Thibaut Durand

Thibaut Durand is a seasoned professional in machine learning and computer vision, currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Researcher at Borealis AI since September 2018, following roles as a Senior Machine Learning Researcher, Machine Learning Researcher, and Research Intern within the same organization. Prior to this, Thibaut held a postdoctoral position in Computer Vision and Machine Learning at Simon Fraser University from January 2018 to May 2019. Thibaut earned a PhD in Computer Science from Sorbonne University in 2017, specializing in weakly supervised learning for visual recognition, after completing a Master's degree at CY Cergy Paris Université and an engineering diploma at Ecole nationale supérieure de l'Electronique et de ses Applications. Earlier research experiences include internships focused on image categorization and plant recognition at renowned institutions such as LIP6 and ENSEA.
