Harold Varah

Harold Varah is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investment banking, particularly in financial sponsors. Currently serving as Managing Director and Co-Global Head of Financial Sponsors at RBC Capital Markets since July 2018, Varah also holds the position of Co-Head of US Financial Sponsors. Prior to this role, Varah was a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from June 2004 to April 2018, specializing in financial sponsors investment banking. Varah began a professional career as an Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP, focusing on corporate finance and M&A from September 1998 to May 2004. Academically, Varah holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from McGill University.
