Mike D.

Mike D. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and organizations. Mike has held various roles throughout their career, including Director of Finance and Performance at RBLI (Royal British Legion Industries) since 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Member of the Board of Trustees for Age UK, where they held the positions of Chair of Age UK Trading CIC, Chair of Audit & Risk, and Member of SFC starting from 2017. From 2008 to 2022, Mike worked as the Finance and Operations Director at Charities Aid Foundation. Additionally, they served as a Member of the Board of Trustees and Chair of Risk & Audit Committee at Future Care Capital from 2016 to 2020. Mike was also a Trustee and Chair of Audit & Risk Committee at Addaction from 2006 to 2017. Mike held the role of Lay Member and Chair of Audit and Risk Committee at NHS Surrey Community Health from 2009 to 2011. Mike began their career at HSBC Insurance Brokers Limited, where they held the titles of Chief Executive from 2000 to 2007 and Finance Director from 1993 to 2000.

Mike D. completed an Advanced Management Programme at Columbia Business School in 1999. Prior to that, they earned a BSocSci degree in Economics & Politics from Keele University, graduating in 1981. Mike D. attended St Peter's School in York from 1969 to 1977. Additionally, in 1985, they became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
