Alistair Boyle

Alistair Boyle is an accomplished Firmware Manager at RBR since April 2023, focusing on the design and manufacturing of advanced oceanographic instruments. Previously, Alistair served as an Adjunct Professor at Carleton University from January 2020 to June 2023 and was the Chief Technical Officer at Kite Medical from October 2020 to October 2022, where Alistair contributed to the development of innovative diagnostic solutions for kidney reflux in children. Alistair has a strong academic background, completing postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University, and engaging in interdisciplinary research involving machine learning and electrical impedance tomography. Other notable positions include roles at Diablo Technologies, Freescale Semiconductor, and Seaway Networks Inc., where Alistair made significant contributions to ASIC design and verification. Alistair holds a PhD in Systems and Computer Engineering and a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering, both from Carleton University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
