Kelly Mikkelson has a diverse work experience in various roles related to corporate program development, project management, risk management, health and safety, and consulting. Kelly Mikkelson earned a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from Simon Fraser University between 2003 and 2009. In 2008, they also obtained a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. In addition to their academic education, Kelly has obtained several certifications, including becoming a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner in 2022, a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) in 2015, and Small Employer OHS certification from the BC Forest Safety Council in April 2014.
