Kelly Mikkelson has a diverse work experience in various roles related to corporate program development, project management, risk management, health and safety, and consulting. Kelly has worked at RDH Building Science as a Corporate Program Development Director, Corporate Project and Risk Manager, and Health and Safety Manager. At KJM Safety Solutions, they served as a Safety Consultant, providing independent consulting services. Kelly was also the Canada Health and Safety Lead at ERM: Environmental Resources Management, responsible for developing and managing health and safety initiatives. Previously, they held roles at SNC-Lavalin Inc. as the Regional Health and Safety Manager and Health and Safety Advisor, and at Trojan Safety Services as a Medic. Kelly started their career as an H&S Coordinator at PRO Facilities Ltd. In their various roles, Kelly has demonstrated a strong ability to manage and implement projects, develop safety programs, and foster a robust safety culture.
Kelly Mikkelson earned a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from Simon Fraser University between 2003 and 2009. In 2008, they also obtained a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. In addition to their academic education, Kelly has obtained several certifications, including becoming a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner in 2022, a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) in 2015, and Small Employer OHS certification from the BC Forest Safety Council in April 2014.
