Jeremey Shumaker

Jeremey Shumaker serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors at Phenix Gateway since July 2024, in addition to holding various leadership roles at American Medical Response since April 2002, including Associate Vice President and Senior Regional Director, overseeing operations for emergency and nonemergency ambulance services in Riverside County. Shumaker has significant experience in managing large teams of EMTs and paramedics, maintaining compliance with legal standards, and establishing strong relationships with stakeholders. In their earlier career, Shumaker was a Combat Medic in the US Army, earning multiple commendations for service in Iraq. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University Global and an EMT certification from Mt San Antonio Community College, alongside participation in the Ventura County Leadership Academy. Additional board memberships include positions with the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce, March Field Air Museum, Riverside County Workforce Development, and Riverside University Health System Foundation.
