Sarah Balfour has extensive experience in the social work field, currently serving as an Intensive Counsellor and Live-In Treatment Counsellor at ROCK Reach Out Centre for Kids since August 2017, where responsibilities include supporting children, youth, and families with complex needs and collaborating with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams to establish treatment goals. Prior to this role, Sarah completed a 700-hour placement as a Student Social Worker in the Acute Care Mental Health Inpatient Unit at Nova Scotia Health Authority from September 2016 to April 2017, and worked as a Child and Youth Worker at Family SOS from June 2014 to September 2016, focusing on developing programs and fostering skills in at-risk youth. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology from Acadia University.
