Ivan Chan, CPA CA

Ivan Chan, CPA CA has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Ivan started their career at Vancouver Coastal Health as a Research Coordinator in 2005. Afterwards, they worked as a Sales Representative at Merck from 2006 to 2009. In 2009, Ivan joined Ernst & Young where they held various roles including Senior Staff Accountant, Senior Tax Staff, and Campus Recruiter. During their time at Ernst & Young, they gained experience in audit procedures, supervision, engagement economics, and client management, particularly in the mining industry. Ivan also worked as a Marker for CPA Canada's UFE examination in 2012-2013. Following their tenure at Ernst & Young, Ivan served as the CFO at Enterra Feed Corporation from 2014 to 2016 and as the Senior Corporate Controller at Spence Diamonds from 2016 to 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they held the position of CFO at PELA Holdings Ltd. Ivan then transitioned to the role of Chief Financial Officer at Rival Technologies, Reach3 Insights, and most recently at Angus Reid Group in 2020 and 2021 respectively. Throughout their career, Ivan has demonstrated financial leadership and expertise in various organizations, contributing to the growth and success of the companies they have worked for.

Ivan Chan, CPA CA, began their education journey at Crescent School from 1995 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Queen's University, completing their degree from 2001 to 2005. In 2009, Ivan attended The University of British Columbia, where they obtained a Diploma in Accounting. During the same year, they also enrolled in the CA School of Business to pursue Chartered Accountancy, which they completed in 2011.
