Christophe Leclerc, Ph.D, is an accomplished Structural Design Lead at Reaction Dynamics since February 2020. Prior to this role, Christophe was a Doctoral Student at Caltech from September 2014 to January 2020, where a Doctor of Philosophy was earned in Space Engineering. Earlier experience includes a summer internship at MDA focusing on mechanical design and a research internship at École Polytechnique de Montréal, where work concentrated on vibrations in composite materials. Additionally, an internship at Bombardier Aerospace further contributed to practical engineering experience. Christophe holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, completed in 2014.

The current small satellites market is rapidly growing. There are several new companies that are developing revolutionary technology with space application. However, there is a limited availability of launch opportunities, which adds considerable delay in getting these spacecrafts to orbit. These companies need simple, dedicated and affordable launch services that can accommodate their small size and deliver their satellite to orbit. Reaction Dynamics aims to fill this gap with a simpler approach to rocketry and a proprietary new type of green-propellant hybrid rocket engine that dramatically simplifies and reduces the cost of small orbital launch vehicle.
