Renato Otescu

Renato Otescu began their work experience in 2006 as an Assistant Manager on educational programs at the Romanian Banking Institute (RBI). In 2009, they joined IBM as a Project Officer and later took on roles as a Project Administration Officer and a Project Management Officer (PMO). In 2016, Renato joined Temenos as a Senior Project Management Officer.

In 2018, they joined Readocracy.com as a Python Software Engineer. During their time at Readocracy.com, they designed and built ETL and analysis data pipelines using Python, Pandas, MongoDB, and IBM Watson Natural Language Understanding. Renato also built a REST API using FastApi and deployed it on a Kubernetes cluster running on AWS EKS. Additionally, they developed a ML project for masked face ID and recognition using Tensorflow (Keras), Deepface, and OpenCV.

Renato also developed the backend for an infographic cards and animated slideshows service at Readocracy.com, utilizing attributes sent by users and creating the cards and slideshows with Python, OpenCV, MoviePy, and saving them in S3 buckets.

Renato Otescu has a strong educational background in the field of Economic Cybernetics and Project Management. Renato obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Computer Science at ASE Bucharest, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. Building upon their undergraduate studies, Renato pursued a Masters Degree in Project Management at the same institution from 2009 to 2011.

To further enhance their skills and knowledge, Renato acquired additional certifications. In September 2013, they obtained the "Project Management Fundamentals" certification from IBM. In the same year, they also earned the "ITIL Foundation V3" certification from EXIN. Renato's dedication to professional growth continued into 2022, when they obtained the "Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C01)" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March.
