Lead Cinematic Animator at Ready At Dawn

Rob Kim has extensive work experience in the field of animation. Rob is currently working as a Lead Cinematic Animator at Meta since June 2020. Before that, they held the same position at Ready At Dawn Studios starting from February 2014.

In addition to their work in the gaming industry, Rob also worked as an Adjunct Professor of Art & Animation at California State University, Fullerton from January 2019 to May 2019, where they shared their expertise with students.

Rob has also gained valuable experience at renowned animation companies such as Sony Pictures Imageworks, Rhythm & Hues, Blur Studio, and Pandemic Studios / Electronic Arts, where they worked as an Animator during different periods.

Prior to their career in animation studios, Rob worked as a Creative Director at Rhino House Inc., an animal and human motion/behavior reference studio, from 2003 to 2013.

Rob Kim began their education in 1998 at Boston University, where they studied Health Science until 2000. In 1999, they briefly attended the Harvard University Graduate School of Design to study Architecture. From 2000 to 2002, Rob attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication. In 2002, they spent some time at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, focusing on Visual Communication. Later, in 2011 and 2012, Rob pursued studies in Character Animation at iAnimate.
