Roger Brett Hughes has worked in the technology industry since 1983. Roger Brett began their career as a Summer Intern Engineer at MoD (PE) R.S.R.E. in 1983. In 1985, they became a Lecturer 1 in Computer Science at Coleg Powys. In 1987, they founded Scigol Ltd., a database consulting and custom computer supply company, and also became the VP Engineering at Abstract Hardware Ltd. In 1997, they were the Director of Strategic Accounts and cofounder of Abstract Inc. Roger Brett then worked at Mentor Graphics as the Market Development Manager from 1998 to 2003. From 2003 to 2009, they were the Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Hardware Tools at Actel Corporation. Roger Brett then co-founded Shakybridge Inc. in 2009 and worked there until 2010. In 2010, they began working at Real Intent, where they have held the roles of Director of Corporate Applications Engineering, Director of Applications Engineering and Strategic Accounts, Director of Strategic Accounts, and Senior Field Applications Engineer.
Roger Brett Hughes received their B.Sc. (2nd Class Honors) in Electronics with Computing Science from Swansea University between 1982 and 1985. Roger Brett then went on to pursue an M.Sc. in Digital Systems from Brunel University London from 1986 to 1987. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering at Brunel University London between 1987 and 1992.
