Tjaart Booyens

Tjaart Booyens has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Tjaart is currently the Chief Executive Officer at RealPay since 2012. As the Head of Digital Payments: Real Pay Group, they have been responsible for supporting the company's strategic plan, ensuring business continuity, and conducting commercial discussions with external stakeholders since August 2019. Prior to this, Tjaart served as the Group Operations Manager at RealPay, overseeing system development and successfully bridging the gap between business and system development. Before joining RealPay, they worked at Realmicro Solutions as the Team Leader: Operations, where they managed a 24-hour Support Centre, performed risk management, and approved partner company payments. In addition, Tjaart Booyens worked at Softline VIP Payrol as an IT Support Specialist, at Accesstel as a Sales Engineer, and at Accesslan as a Branch Manager. Tjaart started their career as a Network Engineer at ACCESSTEL.

Tjaart Booyens has a Diploma in Business Management from The South African Institute of Management (SAIM), South Africa, which they obtained in 2015. Tjaart also has a certification in Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Representative from NOSA, obtained in 2012. In addition to their formal education, Tjaart has obtained various certifications from institutions such as LinkedIn, Digital Frontiers Institute, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Payments Association of South Africa, and Torque-IT. These certifications include topics such as leadership mindsets, sales management foundations, AI in finance, cyber security, and advanced programming skills.
