Jay Carleton

Jay Carleton has extensive experience in the insurance industry, holding various leadership roles throughout their career. Currently, they are the SVP Chief Claims Officer at ReAlign Insurance Holdings, Inc. Prior to this, they worked at State Auto Insurance for several years, serving as the Vice President of Casualty and Workers Compensation Claims and later as the VP of Commercial Property and Casualty Claims and VP of Excess & Surplus Lines Claims. Jay also held the position of Vice President of Casualty Claims at Rockhill Insurance Company/State Auto Insurance. Before entering the insurance field, they worked as a Reinsurance Claims Counsel at Swiss Re and as an Associate at Harris, McCausland & Schmidt and Brown & James, P.C. Overall, Jay Carleton brings extensive knowledge and expertise in claims management and reinsurance to their current role.

Jay Carleton attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science. Jay then pursued further education at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law from 1994 to 1997, graduating with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree specializing in Law.
