Lauren Gokbudak has worked in various roles in the accounting and finance fields since 2008. Lauren began their career as an Outreach Coordinator for UCSB Students Recycling in 2008. In 2009, they became a Shift Supervisor for Coffee Bean, where they were responsible for store opening and closing procedures, managing and training staff, and assisting in inventory auditing, ordering, and banking. In 2012, they became a Business Risk Analyst for PayJunction, where they calculated return on investment and profitability reports, analyzed balance sheets, income, bank, and merchant statements, and underwrote new merchant accounts and maintained/monitored credit limits on existing merchants. From 2013 to 2018, they worked for Torani (R. Torre & Co.) as a Financial Analyst and Cost Analyst, where they were responsible for sales analysis, gross margin analysis, purchase price variance calculations, inventory reporting, supply chain analysis and reporting, monthly, quarterly, and annual Oracle reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis, supervision of semi-annual physical inventory counts, and general inventory management. From 2018 to 2022, they worked for Propeller Industries as an Accounting Manager, Associate Accounting Manager, and Senior Accountant. Currently, they are an Accounting Manager for Rebel Girls.
Lauren Gokbudak attended UC Santa Barbara from 2007 to 2011, earning a B.A in Business Economics, Accounting, and Global Peace & Security. In 2010, they also attended Bilkent University, but did not receive a degree.
