Ela Madej

Ela Madej is a tech entrepreneur, a Y Combinator alum, and a Founding Partner at Fifty Years, a San Francisco-based VC firm that backs entrepreneurs using technology to solve the world’s biggest problems. She previously co-founded Base CRM, a software development company Applicake, and was a Partner at a Europe-focused VC firm Innovation Nest. Over the last 5 years, Ela backed over 65 early-stage companies in areas such as food tech, synthetic biology, next-gen manufacturing, health tech, and more. She started cooking at the age of six, turned a 65-people Burning Man camp vegan for a week, and is passionate about improving the food system.
