Martti Paatela has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Martti is currently the Co-Founder of REBL EATS, where they aim to accelerate the European transition to plant-based food ecosystems. Previously, they co-founded Epic Foods in 2015 and served as the CEO. At Epic Foods, they focused on making food delivery sustainable and built the first cloud-kitchen platform in the Nordics. Before that, Martti worked as the VP of Product at Blaast, where they launched app stores for emerging markets. Additionally, they gained experience in project management as a Project Manager for the group CFO at Glaston and in treasury development at ABB. Martti also has a background in accounting and business development from their time at Pohjolan Voima. Martti has previous experience in architecture, working as an Assistant on a corporate acquisition at Paatela-Paatela & Co Architects. Martti began their career in food sales at Stockmann.
Martti Paatela began their education in 2003 at Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Martti completed this degree in 2008, specializing in Finance as their major and Marketing as their minor. In 2006, Martti participated in a Master's program at Aix-Marseille University with a focus on Applied Marketing. Following this, they embarked on a Ph.D. (Tech.) candidacy in Engineering Physics at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, which they pursued from 2008 to 2012.
