Senior Electrical Engineer

IcePoint’s thermal storage capability has already proven to be the cheapest battery on the planet, and will support decarbonization of the grid via year-round thermal storage and flexible demand.

The person in this position is expected to take work seriously, have a strong sense of duty, and be disciplined. We are looking at a somewhat faster-than-average pace that will be the norm for this position. Detailed, specialized work is the major focus. The person in this position will be given clearly defined work, responsibilities, and reporting relationships, ongoing and thorough training opportunities to develop expertise and increase confidence. The position will provide security in a stable work environment, allowing you to plan for, focus on and complete tasks on hand.

Responsibilities

Job functions

• Develop and maintain electrical schematics for process equipment products.
• Create 3D designs for electrical panels, wiring solutions, and components.
• Drive internal electrical standards for safety and performance.
• Work with controls and systems engineers to develop reliable equipment.
• Model and select sensors, controls components, and communication’s equipment to meet product requirements.

Skills you will require

• 2D AutoCAD electric
• 2D parametric CAD experience with wire routing
• Knowledge of sensors and IO in a process equipment environment
• Panel design and layout best practices
• Ability to create and share written internal standards.

Skills that will make you stand out

• Experience in the industrial refrigeration or chemical industries
• Experience with Opto22 control hardware
• Experience with wire routing or harness design in the Autodesk Inventor

This position is full time on premise at our Denver based HQ. You are also expected to travel 25% of the time.

Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year depending on experience

Job titles may range from Lead Design Engineer to Director of Engineering based on experience.
