Head Of Design At Project Re:car at Re:Build Manufacturing

Tisha Johnson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the design industry. Tisha is currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Habitat for Humanity of Michigan since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Design at Project Re:Car in Re:Build Manufacturing from December 2022.

Tisha's previous roles include being the Vice President- Head of Global Consumer Design at Whirlpool Corporation from June 2021 to December 2022, and the Vice President of Global Product Design at Herman Miller from April 2020 to June 2021.

Before these positions, Tisha held multiple positions at Volvo Car Group, starting as the Chief Interior Designer for the Volvo 3CC Electric Sports Car from February 2010 to August 2011. Tisha then became the Chief Interior Designer from August 2011 to August 2015. Afterwards, they served as the Senior Director of Design from September 2015 to September 2017, and finally became the Vice President of Interior Design from October 2017 to April 2020.

Tisha's earlier career includes being a Transportation Design Instructor at Art Center College of Design from September 2001 to August 2011. Tisha was also the Principal at Trendviz Studio from January 2008 to February 2010, where they focused on forecasting future trends in various areas. Tisha started their professional career as a Senior Designer at Volvo Cars of North America from September 1999 to January 2006.

Throughout their career, Tisha has demonstrated expertise in design, leadership, and research. Tisha has successfully led projects, managed teams, and contributed to brand evolution. Sustainability is also an important aspect of their work.
