Melissa Burckhardt

Melissa Burckhardt has over 17 years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Business Development. In 2022, they began their current role as Head of People at Recast Software, where they are responsible for developing and implementing HR strategy, capabilities, infrastructure, compliance, and culture initiatives. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of People Operations at Sezzle from 2020-2022. From 2010-2020, they held various roles at Target, including Director of Strategic Workforce Planning, Director of Human Resources, Senior Human Resources Manager, and Senior Human Resources Business Partner in the Property Development division. From 2007-2010, Melissa was the Business Development & Promotions Manager at General Mills/Medallion Labs. Melissa began their career in 2004 at Pro Staff, where they held the role of Talent Manager/Branch Operations Manager.

Melissa Burckhardt attended the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management from 2009 to 2012, where they earned their MA-HRIR in Human Resources Industrial Relations. Prior to this, they attended Hamline University from 2000 to 2004, where they earned their Bachelors in Psychology.
