Molly Cohen

Molly Cohen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Molly most recently worked as a Senior Partnerships Manager at Recidiviz since September 2022. Prior to that, Molly was a Clinical Instructor at the Food Law and Policy Clinic at Harvard Law School from January to August 2022.

Molly also worked at the City and County of San Francisco, where they held various positions including Associate Director of Policy and Communications from July to December 2021, Interim Director of the Office of Financial Empowerment from March 2020 to July 2021, Acting Policy Director from January to May 2020, and Senior Policy Analyst in Banking & Investments from December 2017 to December 2019. In these roles, they worked on legislative and policy initiatives, managed cross-functional projects, and led efforts to increase economic security for low-income individuals.

Before their time in San Francisco, Molly worked as an Associate Counsel at the NYC Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice from January 2016 to November 2017, where they served as a criminal justice policy advisor and played a key role in implementing bail reform efforts. Prior to that, they worked as a Legislative Counsel in the Office of Council Member Rory Lancman at the New York City Council from May to December 2015.

Molly's work experience also includes roles as a Law Fellow at the New York University Office of General Counsel from September 2014 to May 2015, an Overnight Staff member at the Boston Museum of Science from September 2011 to July 2014, a Summer Associate at Goulston & Storrs in 2013, and an Associate Analyst at Abt Associates from June 2009 to June 2011.

Molly Cohen obtained their B.A. in Geophysics, Science and Society with magna cum laude honors from Brown University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued their J.D. in Law at Harvard Law School, graduating magna cum laude between 2011 and 2014.
