Bob Ellis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Bob began their career as an Economic Analyst at the Bank of Canada in 1992. Bob then moved on to work in Investment Banking at Salomon Brothers Inc from 1996 to 1997 and at Morgan Stanley from 1998 to 2003. At Scotiabank, Bob served as Managing Director of Investment Banking from 2003 to 2011.

In 2013, Bob transitioned into the financial technology sector, joining D+H as a Corporate Development Consultant. Bob subsequently held various roles at D+H, including Vice President of Corporate Development and VP & Global Head of Financial Planning & Capital Markets. During their time at D+H, Bob played a key role in driving the company's evolution into a global financial technology company.

From 2018 to 2020, Bob worked at Deloitte Canada as a Senior Advisor in Financial Advisory, providing strategic and financial advisory services to mid-market companies.

Currently, Bob is the Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development at Recipe Unlimited Corporation, Canada's largest full-service restaurant company, where they oversee finance and corporate development strategies.

Throughout their career, Bob has demonstrated expertise in financial planning, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advisory. Bob holds a CPA, CGA, and MBA qualification.

Bob Ellis CPA, CGA, MBA has a strong educational background in Accounting, Finance, and General Management. Bob obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Economics from Western University, graduating in 1992. Later, in 1994, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance and General Management at the Ivey Business School at Western University, completing the program in 1996. In 2011, Bob Ellis further expanded their expertise by obtaining the CPA, CGA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), a program focused on Accounting and Finance. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certifications such as CPA, CGA from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario), the General Securities Representative Exam from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the Partners, Directors & Officers Exam from the Canadian Securities Institute.
