Kaya Henderson

Kaya Henderson is a distinguished education leader currently serving as the Executive Vice President and Executive Director of the Rising Generations Center at The Aspen Institute since August 2024 and as a Senior Advisor at Whiteboard Advisors since January 2024. As the Founder of Reconstruction US and Co-host of Pod Save the People, Henderson has made significant contributions to community engagement and public discourse. Previous roles include Principal at Henderson & Associates, Head of Global Learning Lab for Community Impact at Teach For All, Distinguished Scholar in Residence at Georgetown University, Superintendent in Residence at The Broad Center, Fellow at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and Chancellor and Deputy Chancellor of the District of Columbia Public Schools. Henderson holds multiple honorary doctorates and advanced degrees in Leadership and International Relations from Georgetown University and Trinity Washington University.
