Abby Chao

Abby Chao has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Abby is currently serving as the CEO of Record360, e-Courier Software, and PackageRoute Inc. at the start of 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Operating Executive at ASG starting from June 2021. Abby also has experience as an Advisor and Co-Founder & COO at Backer, a financial technology company focused on college savings. Abby worked at Backer from September 2016 to August 2019. Abby has also served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Ulu Ventures in 2020 and as a Product Manager (MBA Intern) at Earnest LLC from June 2020 to December 2020. Additionally, they worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Swell from June 2019 to September 2019. Earlier in their career, Abby worked at McKinsey & Company as a Senior Associate, where they gained experience in high tech, financial institutions, and retail industries, with a focus on marketing & sales and organizational transformation. Abby also worked across K-12 education with nonprofits, philanthropists, and school districts. Prior to McKinsey & Company, Abby worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs from 2011 to 2012.

Abby Chao has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Abby also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from USC Marshall School of Business. Prior to their higher education, Abby attended the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. Recently, they completed a Full-Stack Software Engineering Immersive program at Codesmith.
