Alonso Zugarazo

Alonso Zugarazo is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Currently serving as General Manager for Recordati Rare Diseases in Mexico since July 2022, Zugarazo holds full P&L responsibility and focuses on accelerating the Rare Diseases portfolio, particularly in Rare Metabolic and Rare Oncology conditions. Previously, Zugarazo worked as General Manager LatAm North for Knight Therapeutics, leading a team across multiple countries with significant success in launching new business units and capturing market share. Notable roles include Business Unit Director for Rare Diseases & Immunology at Takeda, and Franchise Head for Cardiovascular & Thrombosis at Sanofi, where strategic leadership and P&L accountability were key responsibilities. Earlier career experiences span various commercial positions in multinational companies such as GSK and 3M, coupled with an MBA from IPADE Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas.
