Georgia Stitt is a prominent composer, lyricist, and music director, known for founding Maestra Music, Inc. in February 2017 to support women and nonbinary individuals in the musical theater industry. As a member of the Songwriters & Composers Wing Leadership Council at The Recording Academy since April 2021, Stitt advocates for music creators. Ongoing roles include Council Member at the Dramatists Guild of America, Lecturer in Musical Theater Writing at Princeton University, and Music Supervisor for upcoming productions at The Boston Pops and Netflix. Stitt holds an M.F.A. in Musical Theater Writing from New York University and a Bachelor of Music in Music Theory and Composition from Vanderbilt University.
