Tim Whalen

Tim Whalen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in facilities operations and event logistics management. Currently serving as the Senior Managing Director of Facilities Operations at The Recording Academy since September 2002, Tim oversees national facilities operations and property management for branch offices across major markets. In addition, Tim has significant expertise in special event logistics, including security and municipal relations, with nearly 20 years of experience in managing live television events. As the President of ELM ST Consulting, Tim coordinates event logistics for high-profile awards such as the GRAMMY Awards, EMMY Awards, and GOLDEN GLOBES. Previously, Tim held the position of Manager of Operations at MTVNetworks/Nickelodeon/Comedy Central, contributing to the successful relocation of a major animation studio. Tim maintains an ongoing commitment to learning and professional development.
