Adam Morath

VP, General Manager at Recurrent Ventures

Adam Morath is an online media executive with over a decade of experience building brands and growing audiences. He is the General Manager of Recurrent’s Science, Tech, and Outdoors verticals. He oversees all operations for Field & Stream, Futurism, Outdoor Life, Popular Photography, and Popular Science.

Before Recurrent, Adam was a Senior Director and Head of Autoblog and Endgadget at Verizon Media. He joined the company–then AOL–as a Programming Manager in 2009. He was promoted to Multimedia Manager in 2010 and spent five years overseeing original video production and editorial illustration strategy at AOL Autos. He was promoted to Executive Producer of Autoblog in 2015 to oversee their original video programming and strategy, virtual reality (VR) initiatives, and live events production. Two of his original video series were picked up for broadcast on Fox’s Speed Channel and Discovery’s Velocity network. These efforts and more helped the brand achieve over 200 million cross-platform video views annually and over 100 thousand YouTube subscribers.

After AOL was sold to Verizon Media, Adam became Head of Autoblog in 2017. Two years later he began overseeing Engadget and was directly responsible for the audience growth and revenue performance across both brands. Additional experience includes his time as an Associate Art Director at Move Communications and Winding Road magazine.

Adam is a lifelong Michigan resident who holds a BFA and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
