Jakub Flasz

Jakub Flasz is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in synthetic chemistry and process optimization. Currently serving as Associate Director of Synthetic Chemistry at Recursion since November 2024, Jakub previously held the same title at Exscientia from October 2022 to November 2024 and worked as a Principal Scientist at UCB from October 2015 to September 2022, where responsibilities included large scale synthesis and reaction development. Jakub's earlier roles include postdoctoral fellowships at the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research and Queen's University Belfast, focusing on transition metal catalysis and medicinal chemistry. Jakub holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Queen's University Belfast and degrees in Biotechnology and Chemistry from the Silesian University of Technology.
