Michelle Sabourin

Michelle Sabourin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Michelle is currently the Director, Operations Canada at Recycle Track Systems, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at RecycleSmart, where they held various roles, including Director of Operations and Operations Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for executing exceptional customer service, managing vendor relations, and resolving customer issues.

Before joining RecycleSmart, Michelle worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Peel District School Board from May 2013 to November 2018. Michelle also gained administrative experience as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Cable Control Systems Inc. from June 2015 to December 2017.

Michelle's previous experience also includes a role as a Field Supervisor in the Educational Support Diploma Program at Sheridan, where they provided support and mentorship to students during their field placements. Additionally, they have experience in import/export and customer service as the Manager of Partner Relations & Customer Service at Concord Transportation Inc. and as an Import/Export Supervisor at Primex Customs and Logistics.

Michelle's early career includes a long tenure at Cole International, where they served as the Manager of National Transborder Training from 1997 to 2005. Overall, Michelle has a wide range of experience in operations, customer service, administration, and management.

Michelle Sabourin's education history is as follows:

From 2012 to 2013, Michelle attended Sheridan College and obtained a degree in Educational Assistant - Intensive from the Faculty of Health & Community Services.

Between 2016 and 2019, Michelle enrolled in Humber College, where they pursued a post-graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.

In the years 1992 to 1994, Michelle studied at Sir Sandford Fleming College, specializing in Business Administration - International Trade.

Michelle completed their secondary education at St Thomas Aquinas Secondary School from 1986 to 1990.

Additionally, Michelle has obtained several certifications. In 2021, they received Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the Six Sigma Global Institute. In 2014, Michelle obtained the "Enhancing Professionalism for Teaching Assistants" certification, which covered various modules related to teaching practices and special needs, from the Peel District School Board. Michelle has also completed multiple recertifications in the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Program from the Crisis Prevention Institute in 2018, 2016, and 2014. Furthermore, they received training in the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training Program in 2013. Finally, Michelle holds a Standard First Aid with CPR C + AED certification from St. John Ambulance Ontario, obtained in 2012.
