Alex Ries, CF APMP

Alex Ries, CF APMP, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Alex started their career as a Professional Writing & Editing Intern for the National Environmental Services Center at West Virginia University in 2011. Alex then worked as an Information Technician Assistant for Information Technology Services at West Virginia University from November 2012 to June 2014. Following that, they served as a Graduate Assistant for WVU's Information Technology Services from June 2014 to May 2016. During this time, they also worked as a Grant Writing Intern for Friends of Deckers Creek, Inc. from August 2015 to April 2016.

In 2016, Ries joined West Virginia University as a Technical Writer for the Information Technology Services department, where they worked until March 2017. Alex then transitioned to Red Arch Solutions, where they held multiple roles. Alex started as an Operations Assistant in March 2017 and later became a Proposal Manager/Operations Support Specialist from June 2019 to December 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Proposal Manager at Red Arch Solutions, starting from December 2020.

Throughout their career, Ries has gained experience in proposal management, operations support, technical writing, grant writing, and editing.

Alex Ries, CF APMP, holds a Master's Degree in Professional Writing & Editing from West Virginia University, obtained between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in English from the same university, graduating between 2007 and 2011. Alex has also obtained the APMP Foundation-Level Certification from the Association of Proposal Management Professionals, although the specific month and year of their certification are not available.
