Jason W. Baker is a seasoned botanist and curator with extensive experience in managing botanical collections, particularly at Red Butte Garden since October 2006. In addition to overseeing staff and volunteers, Baker successfully implemented a data migration to BRAHMS database software. Baker also serves as a consulting botanist for Kagel Environmental and operates Jason W. Baker Botanical Consulting, providing expertise in vegetation estimation, species identification, and land surveys. Previous roles include apartment management and geographic information systems work, along with teaching botany at Prescott College. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Botany/Plant Biology from Weber State University and a certification in Wetland Delineation from the Wetland Training Institute.
