Assistant Marketing Manager (AGENCY)

THE ROLE

Even though the title may have the word Assistant in it, your job is more than a title. You’re the go-to person that’s called upon to help with any and every part of the account team's day-to-day activities from planning to completion. You are comfortable supporting senior account leadership by acting as an additional, meaningful connection between the agency and the client but can step up and step in when called upon.

You thrive in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment where you can bring campaigns and projects to life efficiently while adding amazing value for your client. You balance this hybrid role perfectly by spending 50% of your time collaborating and working with account leaders to support the planning and execution of client programs,  the other 50% focusing on administrative tasks and agency initiatives.

You’re constantly learning, observing, and asking the questions of “how can I improve this process”, “how can we better serve our clients?” or “how can we make this better?” You make excellent suggestions to account leadership, then execute and follow through to completion. Your growth consultant mindset and holistic view of a business make you seen as a trusted advisor and partner to your clients.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Own client relationships at the appropriate level based on account assignment.

  • Serve as day-to-day project coordinator by assigning and maintaining project schedule and resources in project management tool, ensuring timelines are met internally and externally and deliverables are completed.

  • Support client initiatives at Red Caffeine for strategy, branding, marketing, and technology, including creating and implementing strategies, campaigns, and tactics with Account Leader.

  • Track KPIs and metrics to determine strategy, campaign, or tactic effectiveness.

  • Participate in weekly client meetings with client and Red Caffeine production team along with daily, weekly, and monthly Red Caffeine internal meetings.

  • Organize the monthly kick-off for the client and internal teams to reset the goals and business objectives for the month.

  • Prepare meeting agendas and notes, estimates, status reports, creative briefs, quarterly business reviews, and other reports as assigned for leadership’s review/feedback.

  • Collaborate with client teams on specific marketing initiatives, ensuring the quality of the final product by proof

  • Research and report competitor information, strategies, news, and tactics along with industry and market trends for business presentations.

  • Fulfill miscellaneous client requests (retrieval of logos, artwork, etc.).

  • Arrange and facilitate meetings with client and Red Caffeine teams.

  • Assist with tracking, reconciling, and processing monthly client billing.

  • Maintain and organize Red Caffeine server with all key project documents and assets.

  • Partner with other Red Caffeine Account Management team members to deliver on the vision of Exceptional Client Experiences.

AND DO YOU HAVE? 

  • 3-5 years of experience within a marketing department or agency.

  • Four-year college degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications.

  • Digital Literacy – must be very comfortable using and learning multiple new technologies.

  • Proficiency in business software skills related to agency daily functions such as Microsoft and Google suite of products with above-average skills in Excel/Sheets.

  • Exceptional written/verbal communication skills along with presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals both in-person and remotely.

  • Understanding of marketing principles and tactics such as SEO, PPC, website, email, social media platforms, ABM, web-based analytics (Google Analytics), webinars, etc.

  • Basic understanding of financial principles
