Ian Martin

Ian Martin has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ian is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Red Canary since March 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Principal Site Reliability Engineer at the same company starting from January 2020. Before joining Red Canary, Ian worked as a Systems Architect at Parsons Corporation from March 2019 to January 2020. Ian also spent a significant amount of time at Solidyn Solutions, Inc as a Software Engineer from February 2012 to January 2020. Ian's earlier experience includes roles such as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer II, and Computer Support Assistant at Northrop Grumman Information Systems, Cymer, and San Diego State University respectively. At BAE Systems, they served as a Software Engineer and played a key role in troubleshooting, testing, fixing, and developing code for image library software. Throughout their career, Ian has demonstrated expertise in areas such as DevOps, software development, architecture, and process engineering.

Ian Martin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University, where they were enrolled from 1999 to 2004. Additionally, Ian obtained several certifications, including Security+ from CompTIA in September 2017, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate from Amazon Web Services in May 2017, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services in August 2016.
