Sarah Gale

Sarah Gale is a highly experienced professional in the fields of humanitarian law, protection, and community engagement, currently serving as a Technical Advisor on Climate and Conflict at the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre since November 2021. Previous roles include serving as an Advisor for Protection and Community Engagement in Emergencies at the Canadian Red Cross, a Researcher focused on the Protection of the Environment in relation to Armed Conflicts at the International Law Commission, and various positions at the International Committee of the Red Cross, including Field Team Leader and Protection Delegate. Sarah Gale has also been involved with organizations such as UNHCR, OSCE, and UNICEF, contributing to humanitarian efforts and legal research. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in International Humanitarian Law from the Geneva Academy, a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria, and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of British Columbia, complemented by an exchange year at the University of Warwick.
