Tom Griffith has a diverse work experience in the maritime and logistics industry. Tom started their career at APM Terminals as an Assistant Operations Manager in 2005. In 2006, they joined American Stevedoring Inc. as an Operations Manager and worked there until 2011. At American Stevedoring Inc., they gained extensive experience in managing operations. In 2011, they joined Red Hook Terminals as a Terminal Manager and was promoted to Director of Operations in 2013. Finally, in 2018, Tom Griffith assumed the role of Executive Vice President at Red Hook Terminals. Alongside their work at Red Hook Terminals, they also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at West Gulf Maritime Association since 2016. Overall, Tom Griffith has a strong background in operations management and leadership roles in the maritime industry.
Tom Griffith has a B.A. in Labor and Employment Relations from Rutgers University. Tom also completed a program in Strategic Management at Wharton Executive Education. In addition, they hold certifications in Crisis Management from the London School of Public Relations, Leading Diverse Teams and Organizations from the University of Michigan, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification - Level II from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC), and Project Management Essentials from the Management and Strategy Institute.
